WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

  • Safe, responsible driving of service vehicles—mastering routes, navigation, and vehicle care.
  • Pumping septic tanks and handling waste disposal operations with expertise and care for environmental regulations.
  • Performing regular service work and preventive maintenance on septic systems to ensure optimal functioning for clients.
  • Diagnosing and repairing septic systems, including troubleshooting complex issues and replacing faulty components.
  • Conducting thorough inspections, documenting findings, and communicating recommendations clearly to customers and regulatory agencies.
  • Understanding local and state regulatory guidelines, environmental standards, and safety protocols.
  • Building strong communication and customer service abilities to foster trust and satisfaction in every interaction.
  • Learning teamwork and leadership skills to thrive in collaborative and fast-paced environments.
 ABOUT THE APPRENTICESHIP

  • Position: Apprentice, On-Site Septic Technician and Specialist
  • Location: Baker Septic Tank Pumping, Ferndale WA.
  • Program Duration: 24 months
  • Eligibility: High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required. No prior experience necessary—just a willingness to learn and a commitment to excellence!
  • Benefits: Paid training, mentorship by industry leaders, certification upon completion, plus opportunities for advancement and future employment. Two weeks of PTO to start and then four weeks of PTO after two years, sick time, health insurance (75% paid by employer) w/ optional vision and dental, HSA, and an IRA program with matching for your retirement.
